Loyalty Card
In 2008, several of Teignmouth’s traders realised that working together, collectively, towards the single aim of making the town a more pleasant place to visit, live or trade in was an undertaking that would benefit all concerned. As a consequence the
Teignmouth Traders’ Association was formed in May of that year and in the intervening months has gained momentum, achieving much for the town.
Shortly after our first anniversary, it was decided that a loyalty scheme would be advantageous in encouraging local residents to support the excellent range of businesses to be found in our town. Although not appropriate to every one of our members, all have been encouraging and supportive of the implementation of this scheme. Discounts, savings and incentives are now available from many retail outlets, cafes, bars, restaurants and commercial enterprises across the town and details of all participants can be found in this magazine.
The accompanying Teignmouth Loyalty Card must be presented to qualify for the discounts and special offers, which are valid for a period of one year from the date of publication. Whilst your discount card does not expire, you will need to purchase next year’s copy of the TTA magazine in order to see which offers have changed. Membership is evolving and growing all the time and it is hoped that the success of the scheme will encourage new members to join the Traders’ Association. Given the range of discounts and incentives available it will be possible to recoup the purchase price of the booklet with the first transaction. We are the first town along this coast to introduce such a scheme and we can be justifiably proud of what Teignmouth has to offer.
All the proceeds from sales of the card and magazine are earmarked for projects that will enhance the town, either through attracting special events, seasonal street enhancements, decorative lighting schemes or any project that makes living in or visiting Teignmouth an even better experience.
